Don't waste your money! by Cindi m. at InsiderPages
Don't go there...You are now warned again...the food was horrible and the price was high. The server was friendly and prompt...he was the only thing positive about our trip to this restaurant....

It's okay, nothing to brag about by Marsha W. at InsiderPages
When in Williamsburg I use to stop here all the time. If seafood is good I will pay the price. Last trip (early March) it was not worth going there to eat. I'm sadden to think that they have given up such a wonderful restaurant that they use to be. :(

Great service, bad food. by brian g. at InsiderPages
Picture it: You are sitting at the table, and the server is telling of the marvels awaiting you with the food. There are over 70 items on the buffet - ranging from the mouth watering Crab Imperial to the suculent Prime Rib, and, if you are willing to treat yourself, the dessert is made from scratch from our award winning pastry staff.

Have I got your mouth watering with anticipation yet?

Reality: The shrimp was mushy, chicken still had gross amounts of red on the inside (undercooked), the autmn breeze tasted as if the bartender through some random liquids together, and the prime rib started to moo when I picked a piece up.

Quite possibly the only saving grace for the restaurant was the server - Brian (I have a soft spot for that name). Aside from being very well kept and articulate, he had a genuine concern for our dinning experinece when I voiced my concern. I tipped him according to the level of service he gave.

In all, this is not what I expect when I shell out almost 30/person for a buffet.

Absolute Best Seafood Buffet Ever! by Karyn B. at InsiderPages
This place is so wonderful, well worth the money. I have been to several Captail George's, but like this one the best. It is the biggest and has the largest variety. Everything you can possibly imagine is on the buffet, not just seafood items. Oh, and the dessert buffet, just as huge!

Better Than the One in Hampton by Connie C. at InsiderPages
Our family likes this Captain George's better than the one in Hampton, we feel they have a better selection and a larger dining room. Just watch out for Tourist Season! You will be waiting forever! The food is excellent even though it's a little pricey, but the buffet is soooo worth it! There is something for the entire family right down to the little ones! You owe it to yourself to pay them a visit!
